Property Description:

With tawny fescue grasses, towering sand dunes, massive fairways, and breathtaking views of the Puget Sound and snow-capped Olympic Mountains, Chambers Bay brings the traditions of Scottish linksland to the Pacific Northwest. Some of golf’s great championships have been decided on these fairways and greens. Located in University Place, Washington, this 18-hole, walking-only golf course provides an authentic links experience for players of every ability. Host site of the 2010 U.S. Amateur, 2015 U.S. Open, 2021 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championships and the 2022 U.S. Women’s Amateur.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintenance of golf course putting greens, surrounds, tees, fairways, bunkers and dunes as assigned.
• Operates equipment associated with turf maintenance including mowing, sand topdressing, bunker raking, applications related turf and horticultural tasks.
• Assist with project work including irrigation, drainage, weeding, sod planting, etc.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated quality and ability to communicate effectively verbally, in written form, and interpersonally in English.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure and with minimal supervision.
• Valid Washington Driver’s License or ability to procure within one month of hiring.
• High School graduate or equivalent education required.
• Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Background check.
• Motor Vehicle Report.

Full-time, Year-Round, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.54 - $21.24 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Landscaping or Grounds Maintenance: 1 year (Required)
